      You are lucky. I have found a reference to the marriage of

      William McMullen of Toome, Taghshinny, Co. Longford, son of William
      and
      Susan Preston, daughter of Richard
      which took place at Taghshinny Parish Church, County Longford on the 20th January 1828.
      It was in the list of applicants for the Charleton Charitable Fund and their application was successful and they received a marriage grant on the 4th March 1839.

      I see just five Preston occupiers mentioned in the 1854 Griffith's Primary Valuation of County Longford, all in the southern half of the County and including a Robert Preston at Toome.
