    Notes
    • on 1900 census she list born in GA and father from GA andmother from VA
    • Sarah Elizabeth Phillips was Mary Bowling Vincent's grandmother, Sarah died before Mary was born, but Mary knew of her grandmother's sister, Martha Ann Phillips Miller, she was who Mary Vincent's mother, Martha Jane Ball Davis Bowling was named after.
    • Sarah Elizabeth Phillips Ball and Martha Ann Phillips Miller were sisters, it is not known whether they were full or 1/2 siblings but possible 1/2 bc of age difference. Martha Ann Phillips Miller's DC indicates father was Richard Phillips, no mother is listed. Sarah's husband Richard Ball was in the civil war for Alabama Lee's Artillery. In his unit signed up on the same day and same place was a Nathaniel Phillips, Possibly a relation if not brother to Sarah Elizabeth and Martha Ann Phillips. More research needs to be done regarding Nathaniel -preliminary census search found no Nathaniel Phillips with siblings Sarah Elizabeth and/or Martha Ann Phillips.
